Our Story

How did a button-cell workshop become a global OEM partner?

TIANQIU started in 1994 as a button-cell specialist in Guangzhou. Three decades later the same company runs one 100,000 m² industrial park, pours its own cells on Japanese MITSUBISHI full-automatic lines and wraps them under other companies' brands.

We are not a trading office: zinc-air, alkaline and lithium button cells, AA/AAA/C/D cylindrical cells and 9V blocks are all produced in-house, then printed, blister-carded and boxed to your artwork. Ask us for the BATTERY you want to sell — we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.

1994Company founded

GUANGDONG TIANQIU ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. is established in Guangzhou — a specialist in button-cell (coin cell) batteries.

2003Technology partner: Japan SOXEY

TIANQIU cooperates with Japan SOXEY ELECTRONICS and is among the first in China to introduce high-quality silver-oxide button cells.

2004MITSUBISHI battery agency

Signs an exclusive agency agreement with MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC HOME APPLIANCE CO., LTD. for the battery business in China, including Hong Kong & Macao.

PHILIPSLicensed OEM manufacturer

Licensed to manufacture and sell PHILIPS-branded batteries (MMD Hong Kong Holding) — OEM/ODM with custom label and packaging.
