Battery OEM & ODM case studies
The brands whose batteries we produce — retail own-brands from Lidl, ALDI, Action and E.Leclerc, plus PHILIPS, Mitsubishi Electric, SEIZI and more — and what each kind of programme involves.
What kind of battery projects do we take on?
We manufacture batteries under other companies' brands: alkaline AA, AAA, C, D and 9V, lithium and silver-oxide coin cells, zinc-air hearing-aid cells and custom battery packs. Most programmes are private label for retail groups or OEM supply to battery brands — with licensed OEM manufacture and agency work on top.
| Programme | Typical cells | What we customise | Typical first order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private label for retail | Button cells, AA / AAA alkaline, C / D | Brand label, retail-ready cards, multi-packs | From 50 cartons |
| Licensed OEM manufacture | Alkaline button and cylindrical | Artwork, cell print, packaging, licence compliance | Per licence terms |
| Distribution & agency | Full button-cell and cylindrical range | Territory, price list, technical support | Per agreement |
| Custom battery packs | Li-ion, nickel, alkaline packs | Voltage, capacity, connector, BMS, enclosure | Quoted per project |
How do private-label programmes for retail groups work?
Four of the brands we produce for are the own-brands of European retail groups. That kind of programme is driven by packaging and pack counts as much as by the cell itself: the same alkaline cell ships as a 4-pack blister for one chain and a 24-pack shrink for another.

Which brands have you produced batteries for?
Either under licence, as their agent, or on an OEM / private-label basis:
What every programme gets
Whichever route a project takes, it runs on the same plant, the same quality system and the same document set. These are the figures behind that.
| Factory | 100,000 m² at Tianqiu Industrial Park, Japanese MITSUBISHI full-automatic lines |
|---|---|
| Scale | 500+ staff · 31+ years in batteries |
| Range | 500+ product types, including 0% mercury alkaline button cell |
| Quality & product certification | ISO 9001:2015 · ISO 45001:2018 · BSCI · UL (selected product lines) · UN38.3 (lithium cells) · CE · RoHS · SGS · PONY · Maritime Certification · Air Transport Certification |
| Trademark | Madrid Agreement registered in USA, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Hong Kong |
| Packaging & marking | 15 packaging formats — blister, carded, shrink and multi-packs — plus brand and date-code printing on the cell |

How a project runs, from enquiry to shipment
- Send the spec. The cell or the device, the quantity, the target market and the branding requirement. A photo of the existing cell is enough to start if you have no part number.
- Feasibility and quote. We come back with the equivalent cell, what is feasible on the packaging, unit price, MOQ and lead time in writing.
- Spec sheet and artwork. Voltage, capacity, size and packaging are fixed in a written spec sheet; artwork and trademark use are approved for licensed programmes.
- Samples. Samples are built after the spec sheet is signed off — usually within 1-2 weeks. Custom packs with new tooling take longer.
- Production and documents. The run is built and tested on our own lines, then shipped with the EU declaration and MSDS — plus UN38.3 documents for lithium cells.
What do buyers ask about battery OEM programmes?
Are the project details on this page real?
Yes, and it is worth being precise about what each part means. The brands listed above are companies we have produced batteries for, or that we hold a licence, agency or distribution agreement with — the agreements are shown on our About page. What the sections describe are the supply structures, packaging formats and quality processes we actually run those programmes with. We do not publish any customer's order volumes, unit prices or delivery dates, because those belong to the customer.
Do you manufacture batteries under other brands?
Yes — private label and OEM manufacture is the core of what we do. The brands we have produced batteries for include Philips, Mitsubishi, Seizi, Tronic, Vigear, Alfacell, Activ energy, Foxter, Arcas, Sunbeam, A force, Mars. We also hold an OEM licence to manufacture and sell PHILIPS batteries (MMD Hong Kong Holding), act as authorised agent and distributor for Mitsubishi Electric batteries in China, and are sole agent for the SEIZI battery range in Japan.
Can you supply batteries under a retail chain own brand?
Yes. Retail private label is one of our main programme types — we produce own-brand button cells, AA / AAA alkaline, C / D cells and packs for retail groups, with the brand label, retail-ready cards, blister and multi-pack counts specified by the buyer.
What is the minimum order quantity for OEM batteries?
First orders from 50 cartons per product line. Mixed-SKU cartons are possible for retail programmes. Custom battery packs are quoted per project after sampling.
Can you print our brand on the cells and the packaging?
Yes. We print brand marks and date codes on the cell itself, and supply 15 packaging formats including blister, carded and shrink packs. Artwork, label and trademark compliance on both the cell and the pack are part of a licensed or private-label programme.
Which certifications and documents come with a shipment?
Our quality and product certifications are ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, BSCI, UL (selected product lines), UN38.3 (lithium cells), CE, RoHS, SGS, PONY, Maritime Certification, Air Transport Certification. A shipment leaves with the EU declaration of conformity and the MSDS; lithium cells also carry UN38.3 transport documentation.
How long does a first order take?
Samples are typically produced within 1-2 weeks after the spec sheet is confirmed. Custom packs that need new tooling take longer, and we confirm the timeline in the written quote.
How do I start my battery project?
Send the cell or the device, the volume you are planning and the branding you need. You get feasibility, pricing and a timeline back within 24 hours — and a spec sheet before anything is produced.
