Terms of Sale
How we quote, sample, produce and ship battery orders — and what we need from you at each step.
This page describes how we work with buyers. Each sale is governed by the order confirmation (pro forma invoice) issued for that order, which states the model, quantity, packaging, price, delivery term and schedule. Where this page and the order confirmation differ, the order confirmation applies.
Quotations
We quote against the information you send: the cell or device, the packaging format, the annual quantity and the destination market. A quotation states its own validity, and prices are tiered by quantity — a higher annual volume moves the order into a better price band. If any of the four details change, ask us to re-quote rather than assuming the price holds.
Minimum order quantity
- From 50 cartons per product line — a single first-order minimum covering button cells, alkaline cells and printed packaging alike.
- Mixed-SKU cartons are possible for retail programmes — tell us the combination you need.
- Below the minimum we can still quote, but the price reflects a shorter production run.
Samples
Samples are built after you sign off the written specification — voltage, capacity, size, chemistry and packaging. We confirm the sample cost and the schedule with the quotation; typical sampling takes one to two weeks. If you cannot wait for a sample, we can send existing stock of the same model for evaluation instead.
Payment terms
Payment terms are agreed per order and written into the order confirmation, together with the currency and the bank details. New customers usually start with a deposit and the balance before shipment; repeat orders can be arranged on terms that suit your cash flow. We do not accept changes to bank details by email — always confirm with your usual contact before transferring.
Lead times
Production starts after the order confirmation and, where the order carries your artwork, after the proof is approved. The schedule in the confirmation covers production and the handover to the forwarder; transit time depends on the shipping method and the destination, and is confirmed with the shipping documents. See the shipping policy for methods and documents.
Artwork and packaging approval
Your logo, barcode, languages and marks are printed from the files you supply. We send a proof (or a physical dummy for new packaging) before production begins, and production uses the approved version. Please check the barcode numbers, the model codes and the language versions carefully at that point — changes requested after approval may affect both the schedule and the price.
Quality, inspection and claims
Cells are produced on our own lines under ISO 9001 in-line control, with final electrical test and pre-shipment inspection. Each shipment carries the EU declaration of conformity and MSDS, and lithium cells also carry UN38.3 documentation (see certifications). If you find a manufacturing defect, contact us with photos and the lot number as soon as it is found: we investigate, and replace or credit what is confirmed as our manufacturing defect. Claims about visible transit damage should be raised with the forwarder as well, so the carrier record matches ours.
Documentation and compliance
Documents are issued in English and reference the model's declaration number. If your market needs an additional certificate, a legalisation stamp or documents in another language, tell us with the order so we can confirm feasibility and any cost. Details of the marking and waste-battery obligations are on our EU battery compliance page.
Scope and liability
We supply cells and packaging as specified in the approved documents. Choosing the correct cell for a device, and the safety of the final product it goes into, rests with the device manufacturer. Our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the law of your market.
