How do I find my watch battery by brand?

Pick your watch brand to jump straight to the cell it uses and the replacement guide. 6 brand pages are live today — Apple, Fossil, Seiko, Citizen, Timex, Bulova — and the model table below covers the common watch cells regardless of brand. Always confirm against the number printed on the cell you remove, because a watch brand can change movements between model years.

What size and voltage is my watch battery?

These are the silver-oxide and lithium cells that cover most men's and women's watches. Every figure below comes from our own product data: voltage, diameter, thickness, rated capacity and the equivalent numbers each cell is sold under. Match the model number, or measure the diameter and thickness of your old cell and match both.

Are these watch cells actually made by TIANQIU?

Yes. Silver-oxide is one of the three button-cell chemistries we produce ourselves — it is not a traded-in line. We run mercury-free silver-oxide and lithium button cells, and 0% mercury alkaline cells, on Japanese MITSUBISHI full-automatic lines inside our own 100,000 m² plant.

How-To

How do I identify my watch battery model?

Three ways to pin the cell down, in order of reliability. The printed number on the old cell beats everything else; the watch manual or brand spec sheet is the next best source; measuring with calipers is the fallback once the print has worn off. Match both diameter and thickness, never diameter alone.

01

Read the old cell

Open the case back and read the number on the battery — 377, SR626SW, 371, 364 or CR2032 are the most common.

02

Check the manual

Your watch or brand spec sheet lists the recommended cell size and voltage for the movement.

03

Measure if worn

If the print is gone, measure diameter and thickness with calipers and match both in the table above.

DIY Replacement

How do I replace a watch battery?

Replacing a watch battery takes a few minutes with the right tools: a watch-back tool or a flat-head screwdriver to lift the case back, and non-metallic tweezers to lift the cell without shorting it. Match the size and voltage exactly, note which side faces up, and never force the case back shut.

Tools Case-back tool / flat screwdriver Non-metallic tweezers Fresh cell — same size & voltage 01 Pry the case back Use a case-back tool Lift the back at the seam Step 1 · Open the back 02 Note the polarity Note how the old cell sits which side faces up (+ / −) Step 2 · Note polarity 03 Remove the old cell Lift the cell with plastic tweezers do not scratch the holder Step 3 · Remove the cell 04 Fit the new cell Fit the new silver-oxide / lithium cell + side up · re-seat the clip Step 4 · Fit the new cell 05 Close & test Close the back and check the watch runs Step 5 · Close & test
Never use metal tools to touch the battery contacts. Match the exact size and voltage — a wrong-thickness cell can jam the case back.
Battery Life

How Long Does a Watch Battery Last?

The movement decides how fast the cell is used up — the same 377 lasts far longer in a plain three-hand watch than behind a chronograph, a light or an alarm. We publish the rated capacity of each cell rather than a single life figure, because capacity is the number we can measure and declare.

Life also depends on the cell's self-discharge and on how it was stored. If you need a service-life figure for your own product, ask us for the discharge curve of the model you are using — we send it with the data sheet rather than quoting a generic range.
FAQ

What do buyers ask about watch batteries?

How do I know what battery my watch takes?
Read the number printed on the old cell — 377/SR626SW, 371, 364 and CR2032 cover the large majority of watches. If the print is worn, measure the diameter and thickness of the old cell and match both in the table above. Always match the cell that came out of your own watch: a brand can change movements between model years.
Can I replace a watch battery myself?
Yes, using a watch-back tool or flat screwdriver. Match the exact size and voltage, note which side faces up, and never force the case back shut.
Is a 377 battery the same as SR626SW?
Yes. 377 = SR626SW = AG4 = SG4 — a 6.8mm × 2.6mm, 1.55V silver-oxide cell. Either marking is a direct replacement for your watch.
How long does a watch battery last?
It depends on the movement rather than on the cell alone — a plain three-hand movement draws far less than a chronograph, a light or an alarm. We publish the rated capacity of each cell (the 377 is 24mAh) instead of a single life figure, because capacity is what we can measure and declare. Ask us for the discharge curve of the model you are using.
Which battery is best for a wristwatch — silver oxide or lithium?
Silver-oxide cells (377, 371, 364) hold a steady 1.55V and are the standard choice for analog watch movements. Larger sport and feature watches may use a CR2032 lithium cell at 3V. Fit the chemistry your watch was designed for.
Do you actually manufacture these watch cells?
Yes. Silver-oxide (SR) is one of the three button-cell chemistries we produce in-house, on Japanese MITSUBISHI full-automatic lines and mercury-free. We are the sole agent for the SEIZI (Japan) battery range and a silver-oxide technology partner of Japan SOXEY.
Can you supply watch cells with my own brand on them?
Yes — OEM custom label and retail packaging, printed in our own plant. Button and coin cells start from 50 cartons per product line.

The model pages carry the full specification and the equivalent-number chain for each cell, which is where the interchangeable markings are listed. The guides below cover the other devices that run on the same coin cells — car key fobs, motherboard CMOS, and the wider button cell range from the factory. Sealed watches are the exception, which is why they are handled separately on Apple Watch batteries; every cell we make is on all battery models, and the remaining questions are in the battery FAQ.

How do I get a watch battery quote?

Factory-direct silver-oxide and lithium watch cells with OEM custom label and packaging, printed in our own plant. Send the model you need — or just the number printed on your old cell — and we will come back with pricing, the MOQ for your packaging format and the certification set.
