D Batteries - Alkaline High-Capacity

D cells are the format chosen when a device draws a lot of current over long stretches: torches, portable radios, lanterns, industrial meters and emergency lighting. An LR20 alkaline holds roughly six to nine times the energy of an AA cell in the same chemistry, which is why the same torch runs for many more hours on one set.

We produce the LR20 — and the shorter LR14 (C cell) — on our own lines with 0% mercury added, and ship it as a bare cell or in a 2-pack blister with your artwork. Printing on the cell, the blister card and the box is done in the same plant, from 50 cartons per product line, with UL documentation for the covered lines and EU 2023/1542 paperwork for the shipment. This is an alkaline cell, so UN38.3 — a lithium transport test — does not apply to it.
